Mabel
Part Leopard and Part Raccoon!
It is cooler this morning and I only have one conference call at 11. I consider that a good thing!
Another good thing: Colin made it safely up from TX...even though he landed 9 hours later than he should have (and his checked bag went to Dallas...he spent yesterday buying clothes and stuff for the weekend).
Yesterday Fletch and I watched Mabel chase Steve the Beav (our resident groundhog). Amazing how fast Steve can move...usually he just lumbers along.
Last night Mabel went out (of course) and successfully avoided the skunk that Fletch and I could smell. That would be another good thing.
Cheers to the weekend! May it be filled with good things for you. Enjoy!
glad your son has traveled safely!! She is one BEAUTIFUL cat, very regal!!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I'm sorry Colin had to deal with such travel headaches! Been there, done that, and it is not fun. Happy Friday and enjoy the weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh, UGH for the travel hassles. They seem to be so prevalent these days . . . And That Mabel! What a gorgeous kitty. And I can just picture Steve the Beav . . . moving fast . . . with Mabel in pursuit. Have a great weekend, Vera. (It was 42 degrees here at our cabin this morning! Brrr.)
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry that Colin had such travel hassles - not only late but no luggage! I hope things go much more smoothly on the return trip and that you enjoy giving him a big hug on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for Colin's travel hassles... it seems that is the way of travel these days. Here is to a pleasant and much cooler weekend! XO
ReplyDeleteIt is cooler out this morning and I am loving it. There is even a breeze. Wheeeee.........!
ReplyDeleteMabel looks very savage and ancestral. Poor Steve! He just wanted to browse the buffet.
ReplyDeleteColin is getting the Less Than Friendly Skies Treatment that seems so common with air travel lately. It's criminal. I know you'll make him feel better on Sunday.
I finally got to open up yesterday! No AC and the air is cool and fresh from the north. It's so welcome and so pleasant. Hooray!
Mabel is a just a beautiful little wildcat!
ReplyDeleteI'm flying to my parents' in two weeks and I am in dread of those kind of delays for my flight! Glad he made it safely at any rate.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie! Mabel has such a good life :) And groundhogs are just the cutest -- enjoy your weekend!
