Good Morning and Happy Unraveled Wednesday!
How is it already the middle of April? The past few weeks have really flown by for me. I'm busier than I expected with work, so there's that. And, I guess just adjusting to life at home ALL the time has settled in. Anyway, the days are fleeting, but we are doing well.
Lavender Sock #2 is moving along nicely. Here's where it was last night before I went to bed.
The heel has been turned and I am roughly half way down the foot shooting for the toe decreases later today.
I managed to get out for a walk yesterday afternoon. It was a little overcast and a bit breezy, but it felt good to be outside. I walked at the Lower Perkiomen Park in Oaks thinking it would be drier than the trail by the canal (the Oaks trail is paved). Well, there were a lot of places where water was across the entire trail, but some I was able to skirt around on the grass and some I just walked through. The river was high after the rain of the other day and at the dam the water was moving very fast.
You can see how muddy it is too. It was also kind of stinky. There is a sewage treatment plant not too far away...I'm hoping that had not spilled over.....
I was happy to see Bluebells in bloom!
Later in the afternoon I did some archery and discovered we have a wild cherry in bloom by our shed!
The buds are a very dark pink, but once open the flowers are white with just a tinge of pink on them. Very pretty.
Once again, not much (in fact nothing) on the reading front. And now all the books I had taken out on Overdrive are zipping back over the airwaves . That's ok - maybe someone who is better able to concentrate these days and read will enjoy them. I can always request them again.
Colin texted the other day that he loves the Canary Blanket - he wrapped up in it to watch TV after we left Sunday night. And then yesterday he texted this picture:
Apparently Marcel approves of it as well!
Linking up with Kat for Unraveled Wednesday. Hope your week is going well.
