My burning question this morning is: "How can it possibly be Monday again?" Time flies for sure.
The weekend was lovely. I met up with Dee Saturday morning for some quality knitting time along with coffee and chatting. It was lovely as always. Grocery shopping and some errands were accomplished. There was a nap. All in all a lovely time and now we are back to Monday morning. Whew!
I actually planned out meals for this week so that we did not over-shop when we went for groceries. Last night was shrimp stir fry:
Quite yummy if I do say so myself. Tonight I am making a recipe that Colin often makes: White beans (cannellini) cooked up with a ton of garlic, marinated artichoke hearts and a lot of parsley.
I did manage to make time for knitting and stitching and reading, and there was plenty of all that. I still need to wrap gifts, but believe my shopping is complete. Another whew!
Best of all, I booked a massage for myself. Today at 11 I will be having the first massage I've had since pre-Covid days. I cannot wait!!
Work seems to have mellowed out a bit. It will most likely be this way through the holidays (here's hoping).
Best of all, Mabel is behaving a bit better. I really don't want to jinx things, but after managing to make the banjo fall off the wall she seems to have calmed down a bit. Fletch and I were watching another episode of the new season of Shetland last night and she curled up on my lap! Progress my friends, progress!
No doubt about it, she's a beauty!
Let's all have a great week!
Mabel really is a beauty! I can't get over those spots. She looks like some exotic animal in that regal pose.ReplyDelete
Oh, Mabel! (She is the prettiest cat. . . ) December days are flying by, that's for sure! Here's to a good week. XOReplyDelete
Mabel is a very pretty girl indeed, and I'm happy to hear she's behaving a bit better. I hope that trend continues.ReplyDelete
Enjoy your massage!
the older I get the faster time flies for me! yay for Mabel for giving you a pocket of peace :)ReplyDelete
It looks like Mabel is lying there innocently, wondering "How could you accuse me of misbehaving?!"ReplyDelete
I am nodding with Bonny's comment... that face says "who me?" Gosh she is so beautiful! (and Sherman is so happy that his calming vibes seem to be helping... although I saw the funniest thing on Instagram with cats and a Christmas tree and I instantly thought of Mabel!)ReplyDelete
Mabel is perhaps finally done with her Environment Exploration, learning that some actions have consequences. Now she can merely enjoy her home rather than try to challenge it.ReplyDelete
Your white bean dinner sounds delicious. Did you serve it with a warm, crusty bread, too? Mmmm.
I'm with you on hoping for a good week! Off to a good start-ReplyDelete
She's actually holding still!!! LOLReplyDelete
SHE IS A BEAUTY!
I'm glad you're able to get a massage today. You deserve it. I'm hoping for a pedicure tomorrow. Maybe. Your weekend sounds lovely and yes, they do fly by. Mabel is a sweetie. She is beautiful.ReplyDelete
Enjoy the massage and let your stress evaporate.ReplyDelete
Mabel is a little stunner - just look at those spots! I wouldn't be surprised if she has a little Savannah or Bengal in her, especially given her trouble making skills!ReplyDelete
Amazing Mabel photo--she is so photogenic! I'm glad she seems to be calming down!ReplyDelete
I hope that massage was bliss. And because I like dishes, I have to say the plate under that delicious dinner is so pretty.ReplyDelete
I think all beautiful beings assume they can get away with more than most of us! I had one massage at a chiro office and it hurt so that was the first and last.ReplyDelete
