Hello My Friends,
This is a rough Monday for moi. I barely slept at all last night. No particular reason, but I did have MAJOR indigestion (which is so rare for me). Now it is 6:30, I am showered and my hair is air drying and my stomach is growling. But...I can't think of anything that appeals to me for breakfast. Oh well. Coffee it is.
My weekend was lovely. I met up with Dee at our new favorite spot and that was a lovely time, as always. Many laughs, a little knitting, excellent friendship. The coffee and bagel were not bad! I managed to do a modicum of cleaning...not too much, but the bathrooms are fresh, the bedroom dusted and vacuumed. Clean towels and clean sheets. Life is good. Otherwise I knit, stitched and cooked. All favorite activities.
Today I am scheduled for my first Shingrix vaccine at 10 a.m. I know some of you have had nasty reactions to it; I also know a number of people who had nothing more than a sore arm. I'm hoping for a minimum reaction, but we shall see. I'm planning to nap a lot today since I had almost no sleep last night.
And that's it for me! A rough start to this Monday. Here's hoping the week improves. I'll be back tomorrow with a TNT update. Till then, take care.
Ugh, I'm sorry to hear about your sleepless night. I hope your Shingrix vaccine just quietly starts to confer immunity and you can get the nice, long nap that you need!
ReplyDeleteI, too, struggled for sleep last night so I am dragging this morning as well. I am blaming the weather, I am so over this heat. I have my fingers crossed for minimal reactions to your Shingrix vaccine. XO
ReplyDeleteI had difficulty falling asleep last night, though I know exactly why -- the snoring coming from next to me! I hope you have no major reaction to your vaccine and have time for a long nap!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you've had a rough night and morning. I'll pray that your vaccine goes well with NO side effects. Dennis had none from either of his, but you know mine wasn't so easy. I only got about 4 hours of sleep last night and up early. Miss Piper and Lizzie spent the night last night and they're both early risers, even if I didn't sleep. :-)

It makes for a foggy day when your sleep the night before was so poor. I hope you do fine until naptime!
ReplyDeleteHope your day gets better. It sounds a lot like my Sunday. I didn't sleep well that night and had to be up early for an orientation at my new shooting range. Then I just felt off (hungry but not really wanting food) all day. I got better sleep last night, and it seems to have helped.
ReplyDeleteI hope you can get some rest today. Saturday night I slept fitfully, hearing the clock chime every hour: last night I took a Tylenol PM and didn’t stir all night and woke refreshed.
ReplyDeleteI didn't sleep well last night either. I blame going back to work today (boo!) but also the full moon that's coming on Wednesday. I hope you have an easy time with the vaccine!
ReplyDeleteyou'll have a sore arm the second one is the one that has more but nothing compared to the covid vaccine reaction I had. Good luck! the older I get the more I need a good sleep that becomes more elusive as I age...
ReplyDeleteI was up all night too for some reason. Been up now since 3 am. When my tummy is in a knot I eat instant mash potatoes. I always keep a box in the pantry. It soaks up all the nasties imho. Good luck with the shot.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed for NO reaction!
ReplyDeleteI hope the vaccine went well.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear of your troubles. I've had some stomach/digestive issues for a week now, and I have no idea what's caused/causing it. Last night I managed some watermelon for dinner. Aside from that, I feel fine.
ReplyDeleteMy Shingrix vaccine went well--no real effect except for a slightly sore arm. I hope yours is the same. Shot #2--we'll see.
It's terribly hot here, so my outdoor things got done early. Now I'm stuck inside, hoping for rain.
I know your appointment was pushed back . . . but I just wanted to tell you that my sister recently had her Shingrix vax (both of them by now) and she learned that they have "improved" the vax so it doesn't cause the extreme side effects anymore. Most people do NOT have side effects (other than sore arm) with the "improved version." Unfortunately, I got mine when they first came out . . . and experienced the full brunt of the "old version's" side effects. Best of luck with your dose! XO
