Tiny Needle Tuesday

 Good Morning!

How are you this morning?  I'm still a bit on the lazy side, not fully awake, sipping coffee.  The sky was very rosy about half an hour ago when I first looked out the bedroom window.  I have not yet looked at the weather app on my phone, but the blurb at the bottom of my computer screen says "rain off and on" so I guess it will be that kind of a day.

Fletch has an appointment for one of our cars to go in for inspection.  We've driven so little, I'm hoping we can avoid the emissions inspection and save a little $$.  He will be gone most of the morning.  I may do some laundry.  I may do some cleaning.  I know I have some work to do, and there are a couple of bills that came in yesterday to be paid.  Maybe I'll just sit and knit.  Or stitch.

Speaking of such, it is TNT or Tiny Needle Tuesday.  I really thought by now the tree would be complete and Adam & Eve would have shown up.  But nope!  An All Points Bulletin may be issued for the missing A&E before too long.

You can see (click to enlarge) that the upper part of the tree has been filled in and there are more apples just hanging around in the air - like a juggler threw them up and they have yet to come down.  There is still much to be filled in here:  the lower part of the tree and the evil serpent; the missing A&E; and then there is a whole bottom section.  I am still enjoying stitching this and (obviously) feel no rush.  But, it sure is taking longer than I thought it would!

I need some more coffee to help me wake up.  Have a wonderful Tuesday!

  1. The apples on the tree are hilarious! I mean, who could resist taking a bite out of one of those huge apples?

I expect the rain we had overnight is heading your way later today. I hope you are able to get out for a walk (if you have one planned) before it arrives!

  4. The sampler is enticing and it will be lovely when it all comes together! I was going to walk this morning but the weather does look iffy. Hope you have a great Tuesday!

  5. I love that loaded apple tree and the random apples. I hope the placement of A&E is strategic and that they look like they're juggling.

(Chances of that are incredibly remote, but how great would that be?)

  6. The progress is looking great on A&E and as long as you're enjoying the process that's what matters. I think that tree is funny because as Sarah said, the apples are huge!
Enjoy your day whether it's cleaning, laundry or neither. We're going to see the new Top Gun with some friends this afternoon. It sounds like a really good remake.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  7. Really though, you don't have too much further to go and you'll have a finish. It is beautiful. I can't wait to see it in person.

  10. It looks to me like there are a heck of a lot of apples on that tree!!! That would take forever! No wonder it's slow going!

  11. It may be taking longer than you expected but as long as it's not needing corrections and re-dos, well worth it!
