Tiny Needle Tuesday April 19, 2022

 Hello My Friends,

Another week has rolled around and here we are at Tiny Needle Tuesday again.  Not much stitching has taken place at all.  I guess I was busy with cleaning and other chores.  But, a few things have been added:

The basket (underneath the fruit on the left) has been finished, a couple of birds added, a heart and one dog (?).  Needing to switch colors constantly has slowed down the progress on this sampler, but it is still a joy to stitch (thank God!).  I may start the tree in the center...there is also a ginormous bird on the left that I am itching to play with.

First, though, there is life.  Today is busy.  I have PT at 8 a.m.  That will last till a little after 9, at which point I will drive home.  A few things to do here and then I have to head to the office after lunch.  I'll stop at Trader Joe's on the way and also pick up some wine.  I have a box to ship to my sister-in-law in Delaware and, hopefully, will catch up with most of my bosses - I have not seen any of them in months (other than Bruce who won't be there today anyway).

We had heavy, heavy rains last night.  And it looks like it might still be raining.  My phone indicates that there could be a wintry mix until 8:30 or so.  What???  It's April 19th!  Time to pull out the white pants and light weather tops.

I'm not sure if I will post tomorrow or not.  Depends on how late I sleep!  I'm actually taking the day off and a friend whom I have not seen in over a year is driving up from Maryland to spend the day.  I need to figure out lunch (I'm thinking shrimp with pineapple salsa and some guacamole, but I may change my mind).  We have birthday and Christmas presents to share, so that will be fun.

Now I can hear the wind howling outside my office windows.  Yikes!!  Time to get motivated, get dressed and get ready to go out into this cold world!  Hope you Tuesday is a little warmer and brighter than mine is looking.

  2. Your stitching is looking intriguing! (I had forgotten about the dog in the garden of Eden!) I'll be glad when spring is back to stay as all this rain, cold, and wintry mix does not belong here in April. I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday with your friend tomorrow!

  3. Soon enough Spring will ease up a bit! Hope the PT goes well. The embroidery is so pretty--nice to see the bottom grow!

  4. According to our local news, the latest snow on record here happened in late May sometime back in the 1920s. Yikes! We have snow here today, again, but it should be into the 70s by the weekend, and I'm hoping that's the last we see of the white stuff until the end of the year.

I'm so glad the current stitching piece is entertaining you as much as it is us. Are A&E the last bits to be added? Hope PT goes smoothly today and you have a wonderful time with your friend tomorrow!

  5. You have a full day planned. A Birthday and Christmas Visit with a friend sounds so nice, as does your menu. What wine will you serve?

Let's hope PT only loosens you up for your errands and doesn't wear you out. Have a great day!

  9. Busy day ahead for you! The sampler is looking great too. The little animals add a lot. It's snow/raining here right now. Dennis and I are getting ready to go serve lunch at the church right now for a funeral.
Have a good time with your friend. That sounds like a way to be the long winter blahs.
    Blessings,
    Betsy
