Unraveled Wednesday 11-7-18

Good Morning!

The sun is out and it is a beautiful morning which is a good thing since there has been a lot of unraveling this week!  I posted on Monday about ripping out the socks I had started.  And now I have what I am calling "a lack of cowl."

What had been a gorgeous start to a lovely cowl is no more.  I had finished the seed stitch border and started into the lace work.  On row 4 (I think) of the lace work I somehow ended up with two stitches too many.  I started to tink back, but the entire row was messed up in so many places...not sure what I was doing!

That project plus a new sock project (not started yet) are in the bag I brought to work, but based on the e-mails I've already had today, it appears that I will not be taking a lunch hour.  Another busy day at work...at least the day should fly by!

I did finish Warlight several days ago and enjoyed it.  I give it 4 stars.  The first half kind of dragged/got boring for me, but I really liked the second half.  I started To The Bright Edge of the World the other night and so far, so good!

Joining Kat and friends for Unraveled Wednesday.  What are you up to?

  1. I hope your "lack of a cowl" is soon transformed to "beautiful cowl cast on and pattern memorized"!

  3. although it is always very sad to have to rip out a project, isn’t the act of knitting what we are supposed to enjoy? I have to tell myself that every time I rip something out! Ha ha! I hope you end up getting a nice lunch hour and are able to get a good start a new project. Blessings, Betsy

  6. Sorry to hear about the frogging. My red socks are frogged back too. I need to pick a different pattern. I just cannot make sense of the Dragon's Breath socks, even though I think I've made them before.

Hope you work day isn't too bad.

  7. Too bad about the frogging but it happens especially when you start a lace project!

  8. Better that you discovered the problem now than later. Sorry for the need to restart; I'm sure you'll get it straightened out! Knock those emails out and then on oyur break, enjoy your new read!
    Cheers~

  10. Oh no! I hate it when that happens.
I'm trying to find the motivation to work on my socks until I have to leave for French class tonight.

  11. I hate when "lack of cowl" happens! I hope you'll have time to remedy that soon! I felt the same way you did about Warlight . . . loved the 2nd half, though the 1st half was a slog. (Glad I kept on with it, though.) To The Bright Edge of the World is a favorite of mine. XO

  12. Well.. we all have a project that just doesn't do it for us and then it's time to pull it out and roll it up. I need a new project, myself. I'm still working on my Woodland blanket but I need a change of pace. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  13. Oh, bother! Well, best to just Start Fresh and teach it Who's Boss from the get-go. I've got two projects thisclose to finishes and then can send four off to Operation Gratitude. I wish I would hurry up. ;-)
