Hello, Hello,
Another chilly morning, but gosh! Yesterday was in the mid-seventies. We've had snow on Halloween in the past, but that certainly will not happen this year. Though any moisture would be appreciated.
Well, it's Tuesday which means time for a Tiny Needle update. The last for this month of 2024. Progress seems to be slow, but it is steady:
Fence construction was completed and construction on the house has started. Part of the right wall and one window has been installed. There is so much solid stitching in this piece that it is slow going. Thankfully I'm still enjoying it (and hoping no one has gotten too bored with it by this point).
No definite plans for today other than grocery shopping and hopefully making the sauce from the last of the garden tomatoes and peppers. If time and the weather allow, I'd like to get out for a walk - there is an area of a trail that I have not walked previously...would be nice to add another option to my choices.
Time to pour the coffee. Have a wonderful day!
I love seeing your sampler and have not been bored by it at all! I'm glad the fence construction went well (and you didn't even have to dig any post holes) and I look forward to seeing how the house is coming along next week. We're on our way to Ryan's to pick the last of the tomatoes after a hard frost last night so I may be making sauce, too.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this sampler, Vera -- and I'm looking forward to seeing the construction all come together!
ReplyDeleteYou're making more progress than me! Love that variegated thread too - it adds a nice depth to the solid parts.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors and the design of this sampler. Enjoy your walk!
ReplyDeleteI think this may be the first time ever that I've seen a house constructed from roof to foundation! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing your progress on that sampler!
ReplyDeleteFall is always yo-yo weather! lol The cross stitch looks beautiful so far.
ReplyDeleteYou're really moving along with your sampler. That's quite a bit of stitching in those big fill areas you've completed.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a good walk. It was 83 here today but temps are supposed to plunge overnight and rain tomorrow. Hallelujah! Everything is so dry here. We've actually had the AC on for the past two days because it's been so humid. I think it's probably the last for this year though.
ReplyDeleteYour sampler is looking great. I understand how slow the solid stitching goes, but it really looks nice when it's done.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
