Tiny Needle Tuesday 11/23/21

 Good Morning!

It's a chilly morning.  I'm thankful for fleece leggings and a fleece shirt.  The coffee has been made and the first sips taken.  Delicious!

As predicted/hoped for, yesterday was a slow one work-wise.  I'm expecting more of the same today.  I've a doctor's appointment at 8 a.m. and I hope to book a pedicure for late morning or early afternoon.  Also I want to go get a gift card for a massage for Mailing.  Her birthday is the 30th.  Usually I go with a local salon, but this year I will go with a chain so that she can use it in Austin if she likes.  I don't even want to think about how soon they will be leaving (and they did find an apartment right by the river in Austin!).

Meanwhile, before I get into the day's activities (and there will be some work), first of all it is TNT or Tiny Needle Tuesday.  This week I just have a tiny amount to show.

The start of the second Pomegranate Bird - an eye and a beak!  To be honest, I've been focusing on Christmas knitting and have not really been devoting any time to stitching.  That tiny head and beak were stitched last night after dinner, and then I went right back to Christmas knitting.

I hope everyone is taking time to enjoy Thanksgiving Week and I hope no one is frantically running around trying to do EVERYTHING!!  Relaxation is key - enjoy!!

  1. I love that sampler so much! It's been fun watching it grow even if it's only in little bits. If I get a couple of stitches in a week anymore I consider myself lucky.

  2. I'm happy to see the second bird starting to take shape! A tiny amount to show seems appropriate to Tiny Needle Tuesday.

Yesterday was slow for me, too, so I got a lot of non-work stuff (like wrapping presents) done. I'm hoping today is the same, and then tomorrow I have only a half day to get through.

  3. Coffee/tea tastes so good on chilly mornings! The colors in the sampler look lovely, and a tiny amount of stitching is still forward progress. This is a time of year that some other things need to get done, so it will be there waiting after Thanksgiving and Christmas knitting. I'm glad C&M found an apartment near the river!

  4. Those first sips of coffee on a chilly morning are simply the best! I am glad that C&M have found a place to live!

Good luck at the dr today!

  5. This is one of the best samplers I've seen, and I love watching your progress.

  6. It's cold here, too--28 degrees upon awakening. Brr.

Progress is still progress, no matter how little. The sampler is still getting done and looking lovely. I'm glad for your slow day at work after some frustrating days earlier.

  7. Happy to hear Colin and Mailing found an apartment close to the river. I’m at my sister’s home and enjoying a relaxing visit. Tomorrow I’ll go to my niece’s for the rest of the week.

  9. Oh great news about finding an apartment! I think we're just about ready for Thanksgiving--picked up the farm turkey breast yesterday and I think that's all we needed!

  10. I'm glad the kids found an apartment. How long will they be in Austin? I probably won't be online much this week. Alex and Tara got here late this afternoon and will only be here until Sunday morning. I want to give them as much time as possible. Oh it will be hard to say goodbye again. Tara has the cutest baby bump ever!
    Blessings,
    Betsy
