Friday Good News!

 Hello All,

Yes!  Finally Fletch and I have confirmed appointments for our first vaccination!!  Woo-Hoo,  We are both scheduled for mid-day next Tuesday, March 30th and then 21 days later we will do it again as we are getting the Pfizer vaccine.  It is a huge relief to finally be scheduled.  We registered with the County and, then, Southeastern PA just seemed to be in a cluster mode...so slow...so we registered with several drug stores and our grocery store, etc., etc.  Never any appointments available.  Yesterday we received the emails from the County with links to set up our appointments.  I'm glad we were able to get them together too.

Yesterday remained foggy pretty much all day and it is still looking a bit foggy this a.m.  Very soon I need to run over to Colin & Mailing's to feed Talbot and Marcel.  I'll open up the sunroom for them - they love being in that room and watching all the activity in their back yard!

Fortunately my 8:30 a.m. call was cancelled.  I still have a call at 10 and another one at 11.  I'm hoping to either walk and/or shoot some archery this afternoon.

A nature photo for this Friday morning.  When my friend Carol came up to visit she brought us a bird feeder that sticks to your window.  We have a number of feeders out back, so Fletch put this new one on my front office window.  For a few weeks we didn't notice any activity, but recently purple finches have been coming to dine (and I've watched them feed each other - so cute!!).

I have a little stool that I use as a foot rest sometimes under that window.  Tyg likes to come in, hop onto the stool and then put his front paws on the window sill.

Time to gulp down my coffee and fix a travel cup for the drive to Colin & Mailing's.  Have a wonderful weekend!

  4. Hooray for an upcoming Vax Day!

I've had my little stick-on feeder for years and years now. I love it. And Piper and Marlowe love it as well. Marlowe especially keeps a watchful eye on it, and she only intervenes if the birds don't behave or drop from the feeder onto the window frame for loose seed. She really insists they follow The Rules.

  7. I'm so glad you have your appointments scheduled. I get my second Pfizer shot on Monday morning. Such a relief. I know it's been difficult for you to find the vaccine.
The window feeder is great. I'm sure Tyg would like it just a "bit" closer to him. :-)
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  8. So glad to hear you both got appointments! We are anxiously waiting for the governor to open up eligibility to younger people, but in the meantime we're getting on lists for local health clinics and pharmacies for leftover doses.

I'm guessing that for Tyg, sitting on that stool and watching the feeder is like cat TV!

    Have a lovely weekend!

  9. It's wonderful that you're finally getting an appointment. All of my kids have now had their first dose. My middle son has had both. We get our second dose on the 13th of April the same day Daughter and her husband get theirs. It's going to be great when we are all done the process. I can't wait to get some hugs. I know I am going to cry buckets.
