Hello Everyone and Good Morning!
My phone tells me it is 55 outside! The sky is gradually becoming more visible as the sun comes up...looks like it could be yet another grey day though. Yesterday I had rain on my way to get my mammogram, but the sun came out later and it ended up being a very pretty day. Fletch and I were able to sit outside comfortably before dinner for the first time in weeks. In other Spring news, our grass was cut for the first time yesterday. And, it was so nice that Fletch grilled steaks for us. YUM!
My mammogram results are already in and all is good. Whew! With breast cancer in my family (my Mom and my paternal Grandfather [!]), I'm always a little on edge each year. But poor Iris! Yesterday was not such a good day for her. She had her 4 month check up and was jabbed three times plus received an oral dose of something. She was pretty fretful all day long.
Now it's time for a Tiny Needle update. I wondered if I would even have anything to show, but Sunday afternoon I found a nice pocket of time when I was able to stitch.
A bunch more brown (of course) in the main section was stitched. But, I also finished the lettering across the bottom and the fourth little corner square. Still need to stitch Kindness begets on the left side and then finish the middle stitching. It will take a little while.
Today is looking to be filled with grocery shopping in the morning and Iris snuggles in the afternoon. Here's hoping that your Tuesday is a good one.
Oh, poor Iris! I think I would feel fretful if I had been jabbed three times. I hope today is much better for her. Kindness is coming along nicely and it does make me happy to know I'll see some Kindness on Tuesdays. I hope you encounter some today!
ReplyDeleteOh poor Iris. Those days were never fun... I remember them well. I hope she is feeling much better today! Your Kindness stitching is coming right along! I have one final pair of pants to cut out this morning and then "assembly line" sewing can commence! Ha!
ReplyDeleteI remember those days when there were multiple vaccines -- I'm pretty sure after one of them, both of us passed out! Here's hoping she's in a better mood today. I'm sure snuggling will help you both have a better day.
ReplyDeleteThat project is just flying along!
ReplyDeletePoor Iris! My little Grand ended up in the ER after his 4 month jabs suffering from what I call a bad case of Google-itis. Daughter panicked over minor tummy trouble after reading all the possible side effects from the shots. I'm sure the ER pediatrician had a good laugh after she left with the little guy. Daughter said all he did in the ER was smile and laugh at everyone the whole time they were there. Not how you would expect a sick baby to be acting and the doc told Daughter exactly that.
Glad for your good news! Hoping Iris will be feeling better today! Beautiful stitching!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stitches!
ReplyDeleteIt's a chilly, grey one here today. It was gorgeous and sunny Saturday, Sunday and Monday and now I've got fleece-lined leggings and thick socks back on!
Congrats on the mammo passing, a nerve wracking experience for me. Love your stitching and I hope little Iris feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping being snuggled by her Grandmother, helps Iris get over all the vaccination irritability. I'm happy to hear you had positive results on your mammogram. The stitching is coming along nicely.
