Monday Rolls Around

 Good Morning,

It is Monday and it feels like there was no weekend.  Truthfully, there wasn't.  I worked ALL weekend.

Yes, I came up for air now and then, but not much.  It's the season work-wise.  End of one fiscal year, start of another.  Bonus calculations.  Calculations that need to be reviewed and verified.  I can't tell you how many yet because I don't know.  All calculations were to be in to me by close of business on Friday.  By Friday evening (accounting for West Coast timing) I had not received half of what should have been sent to me.  More trickled in over the weekend, but not all.

So today will be more of the same.  Most likely, the week will be more of the same.

Fletch and I are booked to get flu shots today and that's the total excitement.

More later.  Hope your week is off to a great start!

  1. Ugh Vera, I'm sorry to hear you had to work all weekend. I don't know why it seems to be so hard for people to meet a deadline, and I get the feeling you can't tell them, "Sorry, you didn't get your numbers in on time, so no bonus for you!" I hope you get to take a couple of days off in return for working the weekend!

  3. I'm sorry to hear this, and I like Sarah's idea of "you didn't get your numbers in on time, so no bonus for you!"

  5. Oh, wow....that's a miserable weekend if I ever heard of one. All of my kids have jobs that make them work pretty much 24/7 so I get how disruptive and exhausting that is. I don't know how you all do it.

  6. Well, THAT is not a fun way to spend the weekend. Hope everyone gets their sh*t together so you can get finished up.

  8. ugh... I hate workdays like that... but it's a trade off isn't it...when you get downtime throughout the rest of the year, and no one is chasing you to fill that time.

Hope it all goes smoothly and you can take a nice break after!

  10. Waiting for information from others before you can complete your own work is frustrating. I got my flu shot on Thursday: I didn’t even have a sore arm.

  14. That's not a fun way to spend the weekend. We spent it moving a few things to the apartment and went gung-ho yesterday and today. I'm not done for the night, but taking a short break to catch up a little bit and rest my back.
Dennis and I got our flu shots on Thursday and other than a sore arm and slight headache I had no reaction. Dennis got both whooping cough and flu shots and didn't have any side effects, thank goodness!
I hope your week is better than the weekend.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  15. Oh boy - working on weekends is no fun. When I taught school Sunday afternoon was always cut short. By 3:00 p.m. I was organizing my week. Hope the pace slows down soon.
