How are you? And how was your weekend? Mine was lovely. I met up with Dee Saturday morning at the Lansdale Farmers' Market (be sure to check out her blog as she has some fabulous pictures and the first one is from the Farmers' Market). The Kimberton CSA booth that is pictured in the website for the Farmers' Market is the CSA that Colin and Mailing belong to. It is run by a high school buddy of theirs. I bought some wonderful bakery items and some great fruit spreads (a sour cherry and a lavender). After that we headed over to Backyard Beans for some coffee, knitting and catching up. And then we had lunch at Stove & Tap. All in all, a wonderful Saturday morning/lunch.
Sunday dawned wet and grey. It didn't rain hard at any time, but it never cleared. Fletch and I went grocery shopping.
Apples and clementines and winter squash were all on sale. I'm thinking we are pretty set for now. We also discovered that our grocery store has the booster shot as well as flu shots, so we will be going back for those (separately even though they say you can get them together...I don't really want to do that).
I managed to carve out some time for knitting and stitching and reading. I also had to do some work...not as much as I had thought I would (and I'll be making up for that today), but all in all it was a nicely balanced weekend.
My messy kitchen table with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers from my bosses!
I'm heading to the office later this morning - hoping to have a little time with Bruce, but hoping to get out of there before lunch. I'll be back at the office Wednesday when ALL of my bosses will be in for a management meeting. That will be a longer day, but hopefully not too bad.
My eyes continue to be good. Today is my last day on the steroid drops and then my follow up with the doctor is this Friday.
Here's to a good week ahead - enjoy!
What a fun weekend! We are heading out to the grocery store this morning to fill the fresh food void that is a post-vacation house!ReplyDelete
It sounds like a wonderful weekend, Vera! (And those flowers are gorgeous. . . )ReplyDelete
It sounds like a fun weekend, and I hope your week is a good one with time in the office at a minimum. I've been craving some clementines so I hope my grocery store has some. Enjoy those lovely flowers!ReplyDelete
Those flowers are gorgeous! It sounds like the damp, gloomy weather we had on Saturday got to you on Sunday -- not fun. But yesterday was beautiful here, so I hope you have that weather today and can get out of the office early to enjoy it!ReplyDelete
Another nice Saturday With Dee. How I wish I were not so far away; I'd love to crash one of those!ReplyDelete
It sounds like you got a nice haul of food this weekend as well, as well as those lovely fresh flowers. All in all, a pretty nice weekend for you. You deserve it.
Glad we could get together again. I had a lot of fun.ReplyDelete
Hope you have a good week. The flowers from the boss are beautiful.
Sounds like a wonderful weekend! I love to go to a Farmer's market!ReplyDelete
I'm glad your bosses appreciate you--the flowers are lovely!
Your weekend sounds like it was lovely. I got my flu shot last week and waiting for the Moderna booster to be approved. I love that your bosses gave you beautiful flowers - so nice to be appreciated for all you do.ReplyDelete
Sounds like a great weekend. I need to schedule the booster and the flu shot.ReplyDelete
Your weekend sounds and looks lovely! I got my flu shot on Wednesday and wholeheartedly agree with your idea to keep it separate from from the booster - I was knocked out for two days!ReplyDelete
Your weekend events sound very good. I'm glad that you and Dee are able to get together. I don't think I was able to go to even one farmers market this year and now they're don't with here.ReplyDelete
Glad the eyes are doing well.
We had a good weekend too. We spent part of both Saturday and Sunday with Mandy, Piper and Lizzie. Brad's still working in Indiana for at least a couple more months.
I need to get the booster but Mandy recommends that I want at least 4 weeks from the first shingles vaccine since I had a bit of a reaction to it. It's always something isn't it?
Your produce looks delicious! I am dying for a good apple. Every one I've tried lately has been bitter.ReplyDelete
So happy your eyes are doing great!ReplyDelete
I'm glad that your bosses appreciate you with flowers! You do do a lot for them. So sweet you met with Dee as well :)ReplyDelete
Such pretty flowers. It is nice that your bosses appreciate your hard work. I love reading about your meet-ups with Dee. They always sound like fun.ReplyDelete
