Good Morning My Friends,
Almost 7 a.m. here on the East Coast and it is still VERY dark outside. If I remember correctly, Fletch said we could be having rain by this morning. We are still in need of moisture, so that is a good thing.
I'm happy to report that the new water heater was installed with no issues yesterday and hopefully this one will last another 20 years as well. It surprised me that the plumber didn't even need to shut off our water. We weren't sure how long it would take, so we had decided ahead of time to order out for dinner. That was easy!!
Now it is time for a TNT update. Just a little stitching was completed in the past week.
The top of the door frame was finished and more was added to the tree on the right. Looking at this, I can see there is still a TON of stitching to be done on this. At this point I am doubting it will be completed by the close of the year. But, that's ok. No rush, no contest, the idea is to enjoy the process. And I am!
Please take care of yourselves. My friend Carol, her husband and her son have all be battling Covid for the past week. Not fun. And yes, they are vaccinated and boosted.
Hoping everyone's week is going well.
Congratulations on the new water heater -- may it last many years! We had some heavy rain here last night, so it's likely headed your way. I hope Carol and her family are all feeling better soon. It's the time of year when all the germs are around and we all need to be careful!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear your new water heater has been installed and you have plenty of hot water again! Stay well, Vera. Lots of germs swirling at this time of year . . .
ReplyDeleteYay for a new water heater! I hope that it will last a very good long time as well! (or at least longer than washers last these days!)
ReplyDeleteMay you find some moments for stitching this week!
Now you've got me wondering how they put in the new water heater without turning off the water! It must be plumber magic. I do love your house sampler, and I especially like seeing how the silk floss looks in the stitching - beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGlad the install was easy! We have the sales guy back today to work out financing for our package. If it's approved, it will probably be another month before they do the install - just in time for Christmas! Lol
ReplyDeleteYour stitching looks great! It's definitely one you don't want to rush
Plumbers to the rescue! I’m glad everything went smoothly. I worry about those who are not vaccinated or boosted as this new COVID variant sounds like a bad one.
ReplyDeleteSo glad the hot water heater is replaced without drama! The cross stitching is so pretty; I'm glad you are enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteI have to keep reminding myself that flu and Covid are still out there and even though I am vaxed they can still be dangerous to someone my age. I admit to getting complacent about Covid since I still haven't got it yet. One of the few, I know but it's only been luck and luck always seems to run out at some point.
ReplyDeleteFriends here have Covid too. I'm glad we're having a pretty low key holiday.
ReplyDeleteCranberry pumpkin bread sounds yummy! Know you're looking forward to having all your family close for Thanksgiving. Enjoy! (and maybe you'll find a few quiet minutes to stitch and/or knit, too)
ReplyDeleteDennis's aunt and cousin here both have covid as well. I've had sinus thing going on for a few days and I took a covid test last night just to make sure it's no the dreaded thing. Since Alex and family arrived last night and have to fly home on Saturday, I definitely didn't want to give it to anyone if it was the "stuff".
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Hurray for a new water heater! May it last you many many years. I think you have just about replaced most things this past year....maybe? Happy Thanksgiving!!
