Froggy

Hello!

Last night I was finally able to snap a picture of Mr. Frog who has been staying around (either in or nearby) our water feature:

Can you see him?  He is dark and the weather was (still is) dark, but he's in the middle of the circle in the photo.  Tyg keeps poking around hoping to catch him, but Froggy is too quick and too smart for Mr. Tyg (thank goodness).  There were also a ton of what I call leopard slugs around (they are spotted like leopards) which totally gross me out.  I did not take any pictures of them.  You're welcome!!

I booked my flights for Sisters' Weekend in September!  Bonus - I was able to use miles which is always a plus.  I'm excited.

This is quick...Bobby (CEO) just came over with a bunch of things he needs me to do, so I'd best get on with it.

Flood watches/warnings are posted for my area through tomorrow morning or afternoon!

  1. This weather is only good for frogs, slugs, and ducks! I don't think I'll be able to mow any time soon, so I guess the only other thing to do is stay inside and knit!

  3. Mr. Froggy is sure in his element with all this rain. We just had a big tree go down out back near the creek. It shook the house. Scary.

  4. Fun photo - it's like an I Spy picture - hiding in plain sight.

  5. We've not had rain in quite some time. Missy has really reduced the frog population here which ticks me off.

  6. Frogs are quick and elusive . . . hard to photograph. You got a great shot! Stay dry. XO

  8. Mr. Froggy will be happy with the weather forecast! Take care driving home. We are getting a big storm again! Our little pond is a big lake=snakes are a problem with the flooding out back=they want to move to drier areas which pushed them towards us! (Two confrontations with water moccasins is two too many!!!)

  9. What a cute frog.. he's good at blending in to the background which should serve him well not to be eaten by anything! It's so hot here, I just had to walk the dog and sat out in the sun baking like a loaf of bread! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  11. We have the potential for rain tonight but nothing severe or overpowering. I'd honestly like a few storms. myself. Less to water

  12. Mr. Froggy is adorable. I’ve always had a fondness for frogs and toads :) I hope that you have the best time at your Sisters’ Weekend! What a wonderful thing to look forward to every year. It’s inspiring me to go ahead and plan something similar with my friends.
