Tuesday Doings

Well Hi There!

The heat and humidity are coming back.  Yesterday was actually pleasant and not very humid, so I decided to bake some banana peanut butter bread last night.

Thank you Nance for the recipe.  This could become a regular addiction - lol.

I managed to knit a little bit on the new sock.

This picture is really just the cuff, but I did 12 more rows for the beginning of the leg.  The pattern is Porthos - a freebie on Ravelry.  These will be boy/man socks - not sure who will get them yet.  The yarn almost looks like a grey/green and white, but I think it's really black and white.

Meanwhile, the work day is somewhat busy.  I have a group of 14 in for a 2 day meeting - 3 of them were rear-ended this morning driving into the office!!  A young girl - most likely texting - rammed into the back of the rental car while they were on the on-ramp to Route 202.  Geeze!  Fortunately the guys are all ok.

That's it for now - gotta run.  Hope everyone is having a great week!

  1. Well, a car accident is certainly NOT a good start to the day. Hope the rest of their day goes better.

The new sock yarn is very pretty and that pattern went right into my queue! Thanks, friend! :-)

  2. I just bought bananas yesterday, but I am definitely going to let a few get brown to make some banana peanut butter bread! It sounds like the perfect combination, but I can't believe I've never thought of it. Nice socks!

  3. We still haven't had a break in the weather. Yesterday was the darkest, wettest day I can remember. The flooding was epic. We could use a break but today is so humid it feels like the rainforest out there. How many days until fall?

  4. Oof on the rear ending. I had an image of three different cars involved but at least it was just one. And at least it was a rental car.

When you have a moment, would you share the recipe?

  11. Texting and driving - don't mix. Why don't more folks understand that? I like the looks of the gray and white sock - very classic.

  12. That bread looks amazing! Banana and peanut butter are two of my favorite foods. Now if there were chocolate too, I would be done for. :-)
Sorry about the accident. Not a good way to start the day for sure. That sock looks ike it will be perfect colors for a guy. I'm looking forward to seeing the pattern progress.
    Blessings,
    Betsy
