The sky cleared yesterday and it did not get too hot! The chicken on the grill was fabulous (chicken thighs cooked partially on the grill, removed and spread with a mixture of Dijon mustard, chopped shallot and a splash of hot sauce and then put back on the grill to finish cooking). The corn Fletch picked up was delicious and we had another serving (raw) of sugar snap peas from the garden.
A bit later we had a fire in the pit for the Summer Solstice and had some summer music playing (Fairport Convention, CCR, Janis Joplin [Summertime], Bruce Springsteen, etc.). A fun night.
After Colin left and Fletch and I were coming in, we saw this little guy on our back door:
He/She was a bit prettier than my picture shows. No sign of our friend Mr. Toad.
I think we are in for some rain later today. I'm hoping to get through my two conference calls at 8:30 and 10, wrap up things and get out of work by 12 or 1.
Wishing you all the best of weekends! Enjoy.
