Tiny Needle Tuesday 7/1/25

 Good Morning and Hello July!

We had some strong thunderstorms during the night, but the humidity is still stupidly high.

The first day of July and the first TNT of July.  Somehow I managed to get a bit of stitching accomplished over the past week.

A flower was filled in and a second leaf outlined and started.  Still many, many stitches to go.  I don't even want to think about how many stitches are in this piece!  LOL. Happy to say I am still enjoying it.

This is a short little post as I have some things I need/want to do before leaving to see Iris.  Hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday!

  1. I think if you calculated how many total stitches were in any piece, you'd never start! It's looking good!

We've had rain here, too, and the humidity is sticking around, but at least the high temperature here today is only supposed to be in the low 80s. I would love a low-humidity day in the 70s! Enjoy your day with Iris.

  2. I thought about your angry cloud when thunderstorms woke me up last night, and it sounds like we are going to have more dramatic thunderstorms this afternoon. I do love seeing this piece on Tuesdays, no matter how much you've stitched or how many stitches remain!

  3. Such a charming stitching piece, Vera! And last week we had rolling thunderstorms for days . . . and I kept expecting cooler (or even slightly cooler) temperatures after each one. But, NOPE. It just got more and more muggy with every downpour! It was downright tropical! Ahhh. . . summer. (It is a bit cooler and less muggy here now; hope it's headed your way.)

  4. You did make progress on the flower! Have a good day--we are very hot and humid here but that is a given for our Summers!

  5. Rain (flooding) and ungodly humidity here as well. Good thing I have indoor activities to occupy my time! I think this stitching is just flying along! (the sun remains my favorite!)

  6. Amen. Don't think about how many stitches are in that fun piece. Just enjoy the process of making one stitch at a time.

  7. It's stupidly humid here too. And hot. If I'm outside for 30 seconds my hair is literally dripping. I love AC. Enough said.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  9. every stitch you do you are one stitch closer to being done. I finally received the cross stitch fabric to start a baby sampler for the grandbaby due in September.

  10. Happy July! I hope you're enjoying the long weekend ... and a whole week off next week is gonna feel very different. So glad you and Iris are settling in. and how wonderful that you're able to spend so much time with her. I chuckled about her not being very independent - which is a bit of a mixed blessing. Once she starts to move around on her own, everything changes - you'll both be moving around a lot!
