Hello and Good Morning!
A beautiful (though chilly) morning here. The sun is shining. I wonder how crowded the polls will be today...not very I'm thinking. At least in PA so many have already voted (Fletch and me included). The goal today is to stay steady and not get dragged down into any doomsday scrolling or unnecessary worrying. I'm remaining optimistic.
Welcome to Tiny Needle Tuesday - or TNT - the first in November. I managed to do a bit of stitching this past week.
Some more little pieces have been added to the whole: a bear (oh my!!), a couple of leaves and some rose hips. Also more on the side has been completed. Some close ups:
It is fun to have little bits and bobs to stitch as a break from the border...and then it's been nice to go back to the border after doing a leaf or a bear. Overall this continues to be a fun piece to stitch (thank goodness!! I don't need another WIP).
Open enrollment for me started yesterday. Hoo-Boy! Another increase in employee contributions. I haven't looked yet to figure out what this means for my increase. Usually it's one step forward (pay raise) and then two steps back (employee contributions to health insurance rise). I might need some happy pills - lol. Meanwhile I'm heading back to the office today. I've got a few things I need to do there (primarily print in color and on ledger paper and meet up with Bruce).
Hoping everyone has a great day!
Hello,
ReplyDeleteYour sampler is looking beautiful, I like bears! We just rec'd our enrollment info, our monthly premium amount went up. But, it is worth it to pay more for a good plan. We will have to sign up for medicare next year. That should be interesting. Take care! Have a happy new week!
I love your bear! He's not sassy, but that's okay. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat bear looks great and I love the depth in the tree. I'm putting off open enrollment until at least tomorrow. It will be painful, but I am glad to have health insurance even if we're paying an arm and a leg for it. Hope your time in the office is short and you are successful with your optimistic goal!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous autumn colors and nice details in the motifs!
ReplyDeleteNot a bad day here for standing in line, my county is one of seven that are late counters for mail in.
This may be my favourite of all your samplers thus far. I like all of the stitching. It's going to be spectacular.
ReplyDeleteHealth insurance...what a mess it all is. :(
That's a fun sampler!
ReplyDeleteMy premiums are going up. I can’t complain too much because they are good policies, and I’m happy with the company. The sampler would be fun to stitch with all the separate elements. I like the pine tree and the border - so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love the little bear!
ReplyDeleteI really like the bear and the sweet tree next to him. We had a black bear stroll right through our RV site on Sunday. He just wandered through on his way somewhere. I think he should be finding his hibernation spot soon as it's getting downright frigid here at night!
ReplyDeleteHealth insurance is what is keeping us from retirement. Dennis could retire in January when he's 65 but I'm only 60. With my heart condition premiums are awful. We have to figure something out. I would just go without insurance but the cardiologist thinks my pacemaker battery will need replaced before I'm on medicare. *sigh*
Blessings,
Betsy
That does look like fun. I bought myself a Quaker pattern a few days and then turned around last night and bought another. I doubt I'll ever get to them but it's nice having them. They are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe old one step forward two back always does seem to apply to raises. It did for us. Here's your percent, then here's your part of the health care up x percent. Keep a good attitude
ReplyDeleteThis is an amazing project--with all of the 'just right sized' motifs to stitch! Nice job!
ReplyDeleteThat is one beautiful piece of handwork. It sounds just right to move between some little motif and then back to a less challenging border.
