Teeny Needle Tuesday

Hello All,

A quick post as this morning is turning out to be quite busy!  The wind seems to have (somewhat) died down (though I was woken in the night by the roar outside our bedroom windows). and the sun is out!

Already we are once again at TNT (Teeny Needle Tuesday).  Some, but not much, progress has been made - a couple of leaves and a star shaped motif.

I've been struggling with this and have been complaining to Fletch that the light in the kitchen (where I stitch) is not as bright as it used to be.  We have LED bulbs in the light fixtures and when Fletch first put them in the room was bright - brilliant really.  Now, not so much.  Well, he finally took the globe off the overhead fixture and discovered one of the LED bulbs was out.  Duh!  The good news is that more are being shipped to us from our friends at Amazon and they should be here by tomorrow or Thursday.  Let there be light!!

Closing went off well and fast for Colin & Mailing who are now happy home owners.  Not only did their realtor give them a gift, but the sellers also gave them some gifts which is just so sweet.  I'm happy for them that it has been a good/positive experience.

And that's it for me - gotta run.  Have a great day.

  1. That looks like lots of progress with a teeny needle, especially with less light in the kitchen. Glad you fixed that! And I'm thrilled for Colin and Mailing. I hope they'll be very happy in their new home!

  2. We are *always* right--especially on the details--so why don't our men listen to us? I kept remarking that one of the lights in the kitchen was stuttering/blinking after being on for awhile. Rick said he would change the bulb even though he never saw it do that. A few days later, a different bulb was doing the same thing! I reported that we obviously had an electrical issue. No, he said, a little sheepishly, he just moved the offending bulb! I wanted to smack him.

  4. I'm glad the closing went well! There's always so much emotional stress tied into the financial stress so yay that they are now officially home owners!

  5. Yay homeowners!!

Quality of light is so important, and it's not easy these days with a combo of aging eyes and the crapshoot that buying light bulbs has become.

  7. I think your crosstitch is turning out beautifully. I know what you mean about light. I said the same thing about our bathroom. It seemed like the light in the little room that has the shower and toilet was so much dimmer. When I finally got Dennis to check, one of those bulbs were burnt out. He replaced it and wow! We actually can see in the shower now. Ha! Congratulations to the new homeowners. I’m so happy it was a good experience for them. Blessings, Betsy

  12. Hooray for a successful closing. They usually do go well but it is such a big step it is nice for it to be positive. The needlework is pretty. I have cross stitch supplies that I haven't had out for quite some time.

  13. The stitching is coming along nicely--it will be even better with the good lighting! I have to have to have light, too, so I could sympathize!!! How nice to have the house deal a 'done deal'! Very exciting!
