Two felines for you this morning. First up Tyg (dreaming of being a gazelle):
And next, the jigsaw puzzle we've been working on:
This has got to be the hardest puzzle I've ever done! It's easy to lose an hour or so just staring at this and trying to find a piece or two that fit in.
So, we had a bit of snow (1" or so) over night and more predicted for today...Saturday...and Sunday. BUT, it doesn't look like the storm will be as bad for us as originally predicted. The main problem will be Sunday when it is supposed to rain and then the temps are forecast to drop to 5. That's when it will all freeze up. Luckily my office is closed on Monday for MLK Day.
Meanwhile - fingers crossed for Colin & Mailing who have their house inspection this morning. After that they are heading to NYC for the weekend (where they will most likely have more snow). I was hoping they would postpone their trip, but they have a non-refundable hotel booked and non-refundable tickets to the Met on Saturday (Debussy's Pelléas et Mélisande). That means Fletch and I are on cat feeding duty beginning tonight through Sunday morning.
Also - if you saw Dee's Blog you know she and I are meeting up tomorrow for some therapy - lol - and will be starting a little KAL for Brookline Socks which look like a fun knit. Dee's chosen yarn is GORGEOUS. I *think* I've picked my yarn...I need to re-look at my stash tonight before making a final decision (or find something at one of the stores we will be visiting tomorrow???).
My first conference call has ended, but I have another one in 30 minutes...I'd best get ready for that. Wishing you all a cozy weekend!
Wishing you a good weekend, with safe travels to and fro on cat feeding duty. I hope you find some gorgeous yarn of your own for the Brookline socks with Dee tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend, Vera!! That's an interesting puzzle. I bought one to work over the holidays -- thinking group project -- but it never got going, so I guess I'll have to do it myself!
ReplyDeleteWhoa, that looks like a difficult puzzle. Enjoy your knitting and visiting time with Dee.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a very challenging puzzle! (And it will be so satisfying when you finish.) I hope your weekend is cozy -- with safe roads for friend-knitting and cat-watching. XO
ReplyDeleteTYG! So cute.
ReplyDeleteThat puzzle does look HARD ... so I'm really impressed to see it nearly finished. ...and ... sigh ... Isabel Leonard - Colin and Mailing picked a wonderful opera to see!
ReplyDeleteTyg looks very content and happy. That puzzle looks scary in more ways than one. I am just not good at puzzles. I get so stressed when I’m trying to figure out where the next piece goes and I can feel my blood pressure rising. I think that’s just the opposite effect it is supposed to have, so I’ll stick to my knitting! Ha! Be careful with all that traveling around in the snow this weekend. We’re supposed to get some next week. Just in time for my trip to the doctors.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Have fun with your visit with Dee. You guys obviously have a wonderful friendship. I do hope you son and DIL don't get snowed in on their trip! Have fun and I look forward to seeing what yarn you pick for your KAL. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteWow...that is some puzzle!
ReplyDeleteThat is a cool puzzle. We are getting hammered with snow. I've been out to clear the driveway three times, and as soon as I finish you can barely tell I did it. Its supposed to carry into tomorrow morning, so I'll wait to clear again!
ReplyDeleteHope you are not snowed in and had a lovely time with Dee.
ReplyDeleteI love it when the cats stretch out like that! The puzzle looks very meaty!
ReplyDeletelove your puzzle! I hope they got to NYC okay and get back just as easy! We had less snow than predicted and that was okay this time around. The news people were scaring me!!
ReplyDeleteWe're socked in under almost a foot of snow with sub-zero windchills. I hope you escape it all! Love that Tyg--he really knows how to Be A Cat.
