Hello and Happy Christmas Eve! I know I said I wouldn't be posting again until close to the New Year or on New Year's Day (to reveal my OLW). But yesterday's mail brought a special treat. If you read Val's blog, you know that I won her birthday give-away which was one of her hand made quilts. Oh my! Her picture on her blog and my pictures below do not do it justice. This quilt is beyond gorgeous!
Val's handiwork is exquisite! The quilting is stunning and her fabric choices and sense of color are perfection. Fletch was blown away by it as well (which, to tell the truth kind of surprised me). He had seen the picture from Val's blog, but it is just so much more in real life. The tiny squares all lined up perfectly, the rainbow effect. Wonderful! I need to make sure that neither Fletch nor Tyg takes off with this (or Mailing & Colin who will be over tonight).
Thank you, thank you, thank you Val. I LOVE this.
How did I miss this? It's stunning! What an absolutely gorgeous quilt. I agree. You need to guard that with your life. :-) A perfect arrival too, just in time for Christmas.

I always LOVED that quilt. I think it was my very favorite and that's hard to say because all her work is so gorgeous. I am so happy you won it. I definitely think as Angela Walters would say that you are "quilt worthy".
