Good Chilly Morning!
Yeah, it's on the chilly side here. Fletch and I did get to the greenhouse on Saturday, but everything is still in the back of the car. Our nights have been too cold to leave things out! It should warm up a bit in a day or so.
Meanwhile, some flowers are beginning to open at C&M's
Talbot has been a good boy, though it is obvious he misses his family. The other day as I sat on the couch reading he climbed up and into my lap and then onto my chest...drooling and trying to lick me. Luckily there have been no more hairball messes to clean up. I'll see later what today brings.
Yesterday I made a Dutch or German pancake for breakfast with blueberries and raspberries. I wish you could smell it!
There has not been much time for stitching or knitting with all the back and forth to care for Talbot. I have been reading some and I have been cooking. But tonight is leftovers, so maybe I'll find some quiet moments later today to settle down with a needle (or 4). I hope this Monday finds you well and doing something fun!

Happy Monday, Vera! On my list today is a visit from a plumber... I think it is time to replace a toilet. Sigh. May we both find a moment or two to quietly do some making!
ReplyDeleteIt's finally supposed to warm up today here, so I hope it does at the other end of the state as well. The kids are going to be excited to see so much blooming when they return -- and they're going to have a kitty very happy to see them!
ReplyDeleteYou are a wonderful cat-grandma, Vera! I'm sure Talbot looks forward to your visits every day. XO
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought you might have lots of free time to knit, stitch, and read, but I hadn't thought about twice daily trips to see poor Talbot. He does look a bit sad in that picture! I love the peonies and your Dutch pancake. I hope you find some free time today!
ReplyDeleteJealous of the peonies in bloom - I've got buds, but still weeks of from actual blooms.
ReplyDeleteOh, I could instantly remember the beautiful aroma of the peonies!! I'm sure he is not the only one missing his family!
