Good Morning!
As another Tuesday rolls around, it's time for a TNT update. The first of 2026! My hope was to finish filling in the tree trunk, but that didn't happen. Thanks to less than stellar sleep during the past week, I ended up taking a number of naps which cut into stitching time. But, there was still a good deal filled in.
Yes, I'm tired of brown! But I also realized when looking at the chart that there is another plant/tree/whatever on the left with a similar trunk. Can't wait for that... And, of course, there is still Adam and Eve to put into the picture. And some more creatures.
Yesterday was a wonderful day with Iris. It was so good to be back with her (and Colin). She is maturing so quickly - I often forget how fast a baby or toddler can change from week to week.
Looking forward to seeing some of you tonight when we meet up for our RWU book discussion. Have a great Tuesday!

I forgot about Adam and Eve still to come! They're going to be fun, if the animals are any indication. I'm sure Iris was delighted to be back with you. And they do change so fast at this age! We just spent a week with my 2 1/2-year-old nephew and 1-year-old niece, who just started walking. So fun -- but also so exhausting!
ReplyDeleteOh, Vera... that is coming right along! I "embiggened" the photo and it is quite impressive in details! (That brown trunk is shaded nicely, but I imagine that is quite a pain to do!) I am, likewise, eager to see everyone tonight!
ReplyDeleteYou've gotten quite a bit done; I'm sorry there's more brown! But it is looking good and I'm also excited to see some of Adam and Eve. Looking forward to seeing you tonight!
ReplyDeleteThis is an amazing piece so hang in there despite more brown to come!
ReplyDeleteThis one just gets more interesting every time you show it
ReplyDeleteNaps do cut into crafting time. My poor baby Grand had his first big boo boo yesterday. He fell face forward onto the floor and split his lip. Daughter was upset but I assured her it wasn't a big problem as long as his front teeth stayed where they are supposed to be. My oldest knocked out his front baby tooth doing the same thing. No fun there.
ReplyDeleteI've been taking a lot of those naps too. Jet lag hit me pretty hard this trip. I've only knit a few rows since Sunday. That is a very involved project that is looking great. You've got a lot of patience.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're enjoying your time with Iris. There really is nothing like a grandchild.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
Can't wait for you to get the people! Brown is a nice color in moderation!
ReplyDeleteOoooo! I can't wait to see Adam and Eve! It's such a gorgeous piece, Vera. I'm sure you get tired of it now and then, but I love seeing it come together. Have fun with little Iris. She'll grow up so quickly (even if it doesn't feel like it on a daily basis) (like when you're chasing after her all the time). XO
