Good Morning!
It was a luxury to laze around in bed this morning and not jump up immediately! I've been having those nights where I go to bed and fall asleep rather quickly but then wake up at 2 or 3 a.m. and stay awake for several hours. Frustrating, annoying and tiring! Last night was more of the same though I wasn't awake for as long as usual. And, when I did open my eyes at 7 a.m., the sky was a gorgeous rosy color.
Now it's Tuesday and time for a TNT update. A little stitching was accomplished during the past week. Two leaves (one not quite filled in completely) and another blossom (or piece of fruit? not sure what it is) were done.
And here's a shot of where things stand overall:
There is another rather large leaf to be stitched and then lots and lots of tree trunk...brown, brown, brown. Today I hope to finish filling in that one leaf and (perhaps) outline the next.
But, I have lots I need and want to get done today while at home (instead of watching Iris). We do need to grocery shop. I have a book to drop off at the library and another one to pick up. There is a ton of laundry waiting to be done as well as the usual chores - bathrooms and kitchen floor, vacuuming, etc. We shall see how much actually gets done!
Whatever is on your agenda, I hope you have a lovely day.
It was just a stunning sunrise this morning (and soon after the rains began here!) I have a full day as well, but I hope to squeeze in some knitting! Happy Tuesday, Vera!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are able to enjoy your day off! The stitching is looking great!
ReplyDeleteIt's an errand day here too! Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteYour stitching is really coming along! I hate when I wake up at 3 am and can't get back to sleep, so I hope that doesn't happen to you again. At least you got to enjoy the sunrise. Happy Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteI’ve been doing that waking up thing in the middle of the night too. I took a 2 hour nap this afternoon because the internet was not working and I was bored. I never realized how much crafting life depends on what I’m listening to.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing this particular stitching project progressing since what comes next is always a surprise.
Progress is being made on this very interesting needlework piece. My sleepless trick is to have trouble falling asleep and then having a hard time getting out of bed the next morning. Age is great, isn't it? Not.
ReplyDeletewell you have company at 3 am. I am awake then briefly fall asleep only to get up at 4:15. I've given up fighting it and just roll with it. Lovely progress!!
ReplyDeleteI often wake up during the night, but fortunately I am usually able to get back to sleep. Sleeping in until 7, though, is rare these days, so I'm jealous! The stitching looks great. I'm sure you're not too excited about all the brown ahead, but it'll be worth it.
ReplyDeleteStitching is looking fantastic!
