September 10th

 Hello All,

Today is my Birthday!  yup...67 years young today.  Yikes!!!  And it is a grey and wet day - heavy rain expected/forecast for later today.  And I'm in the office for most of the day!  It's all good.  I received a lovely bottle of wine, gift card and such a funny b-day card from my bosses.  They are all so good to me.  I've been sending out my usual Thursday reports and it's been a busy morning.  Now the pace has slowed a bit and I wanted to share some pictures with you.

Yesterday I got out for a walk at the canal mid-day.  The temp was not high, but the humidity had snuck in, so it was pretty warm walking.  I saw a few turtles (not as many as during the height of Summer), a bunch of ducks and this little guy:

A Leopard Frog.  Dee and I also saw one of these last Friday when we walked on the River Trail.  They are rather pretty.  When I was finishing up my walk and coming back to the parking lot I spotted this:

A tree that has already turned to Fall shades!  I've spotted a few branches here and there, but had not seen an entire tree.  It does seem early, doesn't it?

Fletch cut one of our sunflowers.  We always hang one on our shed door for the birds to peck at, but I like this one just sitting on our picnic table.  A nice centerpiece!

And, finally, this cute guy trying to help with my stitching last night.  Having no opposable thumbs puts him at a definite disadvantage though!

Definitely a sweetie!

OK, time to get cracking on a few more work items.  I've got that retirement luncheon at Noon for my co-worker and then I'm hoping to leave the office and go home.  Wishing you all a wonderful day - enjoy!
