Good Morning,
Looks to be a bit of a gloomy day here. Rain is in the forecast and it is dark early here. But, it's Tuesday and time for a tiny needle update. Another creature has arrived on the large sampler. A bird!
Despite my best efforts, this mighty bird has not been completely filled in. I guess I was too busy cooking to spend more time stitching. At any rate, it was nice to stitch something other than a tree trunk! LOL. Here's the shot of how the whole sampler looks overall so far.
The top half is almost completed! It's taken about six months to get to this point, so I'm guessing another six months of working on this before it is finished. Probably best not to think about that. The important thing is that I'm (still) enjoying stitching this piece.
Here's hoping that your Thanksgiving week is going well...not too frantic or busy and finding time to be thankful.

It really doesn't feel like you've been working on this for six months, but my sense of time passing is well and truly warped! I am glad I decided to take days off this week. It's been nice to have the downtime.
ReplyDeleteI have begun the thanksgiving cook-athon (although, honestly... I am not feeling it at all this year) I do like that bird... isn't it funny how time passes? I agree with Sarah, it does not seem like it has been that long but I think this is a very good reminder... the best things take time. Thank you so much for sharing the process with us all! I do so like these needle updates!
ReplyDeleteCount me as another person who is surprised that it's been six months! It certainly doesn't seem that way and I always look forward to seeing the sampler on Tuesdays. It is lovely to see the bird appear, and I'll look forward to more being revealed in the future!
ReplyDeleteAs I've probably said many times before (maybe for six months even???), I think that is a most charming sampler, and I love seeing it come together a little bit more each week. Your days are filled with good things, Vera. Stitch on at your leisure! XO
