Good Morning!
How are you this morning? My back and arms are a little tired (I was with Iris yesterday), but it is another very comfortable morning (temperature-wise) here in Eastern PA. The temps are steadily rising though and we will be back in the heat soon.
Not very much stitching was done last week. First it was too darn hot to hold needle and fabric. Then, when the storms came in and cooled things down, I was busy taking care of other things. Oh well, as I always say, it is not a race.
Only a portion of the green on that upper leaf was filled in. The stems (brown and darker brown) are a bit tiresome, but there are loads more to do! Perhaps today. Or I may move further to the right and start some more clouds.
There is a lot of running around for me to do today - a prescription to pick up, library books to pick up (yay) and a package to mail. And, of course, we are doing grocery shopping this morning so that we take advantage of the senior discount on Tuesdays. The list is not too long - mostly fresh produce. I've some cooking to do as well - Fletch requested spaghetti for dinner, so I need to make some sauce. Last night I took grilled sausage out of the freezer to use. And we will have a big salad to go with that.
Whatever your Tuesday holds for you, I hope it's a good one!
I think all of us who craft understand the "not a race" mentality -- the process is part of the enjoyment! I hope you have some exciting books to pick up at the library!
ReplyDeleteWe'll be leaving for our Grand sitting in an hour or so I'm tying up loose ends before we leave. It is nice to have the windows open a bit in the mornings. I did remember to water the plants this week since it's getting a bit hot out again. Booo....
ReplyDeleteBaby Grand was diagnosed with an unusual allergy yesterday by a specialist. No grains, dairy or chicken just fruit and veggies until he is four years old (!). He's had two scary trips to the ER after eating oatmeal and rice. Crazy, huh?
I am not thrilled to return to the warm temps... but if the humidity is not unbearable it won't be as bad. I hope to get that third window completed today... it's a big hope, but as you so aptly said... it is not a race!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you got quite a bit done on your stitching and I'll be looking forward to maybe seeing more clouds. I'm not a big fan of running lots of errands, but I do like getting them all done! We're having spaghetti for dinner, too, mainly because we haven't had it in several months. It is getting hotter as the week progresses, but hopefully still cool enough to boil spaghetti.
ReplyDeleteNot a race. Such an important thing to remember. XO My crafting slows in the summertime -- for many reasons. The heat and the garden being my main culprits! Plus . . . I tend to stay outside so much longer in the summer (following the sun), and by the time I get inside again, I'm tired! (Our grocery store "senior discount day" is on Wednesdays . . . )
ReplyDeleteI easily forget to slow down and enjoy the process of my handwork. Hope the errands run goes well.
