Good Morning!
Whew it got warm hot yesterday. When I got in my car to drive home from Colin & Mailing's, my car thermometer was registering 101. It dropped into the 90's as I drove, but still...just too warm for me. Today is overcast which will help keep the temps down a bit and then rain (of course) later on.
You all know that I often buy wine for the label. Usually it works out. Case in point, my most recent try:
When I was in the "Fine Wine and Spirits" store earlier this week I came across this bottle. Naturally I had to buy it. The Little Sheep of France. Love the sheepy drawings on the label. And, bonus, the wine was not bad. We had salmon for dinner last night and I had a glass then. Very drinkable. And not pricey - just $9.99 for the bottle!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend. We will be over at C&M's tomorrow to celebrate Iris' half birthday! I can't believe she turned 6 months yesterday. Time is flying.
What a lovely, lovely label, Vera! (And I really love Viognier as well!) How is it possible that Iris is 6 months old already!!! Time flies! Have a great weekend! XO
ReplyDeleteI have several bottles of that wine and gave many away for Christmas gifts. I've never opened any of them. I use them for decoration in my wine rack...lol.
ReplyDeleteI will have to look for that the next time I'm at the state store! Usually I stick to New Zealand sauvignon blancs (of course selecting among them based on the label!), but anything with a sheep is likely to catch my attention.
ReplyDeleteI agree it's too hot out there -- and humid, too. I'm just glad I haven't been among the crowds standing outside in the sun at the U.S. Open!
The heat wave drives us inside when we long to be outside!!! Very cute wine label!
ReplyDeleteThat's a fun bottle
ReplyDeleteI just decided to mow the lawn because it didn't seem too hot out... boy was I wrong - I am absolutely soaked! Hidden humidity!
If I was going to design a wine label it would have to have sheep, given how so many of us buy the wine for the sheep!
ReplyDeleteI love that sheepy wine and am glad to hear that it tasted pretty good, too. Happy Half Birthday to sweet Iris! I hope you all have a wonderful time, especially the half-birthday girl.
ReplyDeleteHow can Iris be six months old - already? Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great wine label! I hope you all had a grand time celebrating 6 months of Iris!
ReplyDeleteI have been known to buy wine based on the labels....cute!
ReplyDeleteIt's summer here, too, now and that wine does look like the perfect ... I wonder if I can find it around here?
ReplyDeleteI love that wine label!! I've been known to buy wine (and other things) based on labeling/packaging!
