Sigla Fits!!

Hi All,

Managed to get home from work in time to bind off the body of Sigla before yoga and...it fits!!

I just threw it on over my tee and leggings I was dressed in for yoga.  I'm looking a bit puffy in the middle and it's a little gathered around the armholes...I had snugged the yarn that I put the armhole stitches on, so that will smooth out.  The middle - guess I need more yoga workouts - LOL.

It's not quite as long as I had thought/hoped, but I was worried about knitting any more length - need to make sure I have sufficient yarn for the arms (mine are long...).  But, I'm thinking when it is all done and I block it I will be able to make it a tad longer.  If not, I'm happy with where it is.  I also think the yoke will come down a bit on the sides once I get the sleeves knit.  The neck is not tight at all and surprisingly it does not feel itchy.  I will still plan to wear a tee shirt or turtleneck under it.

OK, gotta get a move on - a busy morning and we are having a Valentine's luncheon (with sweet treats - just what I DON'T need) at Noon.

The sun is out!  Have a good one.

  1. Nice job on the sweater! I think it's gonna look fabulous. I'm always surprised at how much things even out with blocking. (To quote my mother, "It covers a multitude of sins.")

    Enjoy your Valentine's lunch!

  2. Congrats on the fit!!! It's going to look great over jeans which always tame that "middle" issue with knits.

  4. The height of the neckline is perfect. The colours are really harmonious as well.

  5. Oh, that's going to look fantastic, and will certainly benefit a bit from blocking. I can't wait for the FO shoot! (You look great, by the way!) :)

  6. Isn't it hard to just take a bite of something and stop? That is my nemesis. We are meeting friends for dinner and I have to watch myself all day . ANyhow , the point is I LOVE YOUR sweater. I think it will block out just perfectly. WOW. You look great my friend!

  8. It's wonderful, Vera! Sweaters always look a bit lumpy before they're properly blocked (as opposed to us; we NEVER look lumpy), and your Sigla will be perfect after a bit of a soak. Love they colors; they look great on you. ENJOY your treats! :-)

  14. It is lovely! I have this one on my list too. Actually, I knit the body last year but decided to frog because the Lopi was just too warm. I am planning to knit with a less rustic yarn.

  15. Looking lovely! Don't forget the blocking will change things up too. It will bloom and grow -- you might get some more room in there!
