Friday Felines

Good Morning All,

This is exactly how I feel this morning:

Yawning away.  And this is a picture of what I wish I were doing:

Eyes shut and sleeping peacefully.

Yup, last night was another wakeful one, but this time due to a massive sinus headache.  It's that time of year - atmospheric pressure changing, pollen everywhere, mown grass, you name it.  Oy!

On a positive note, it IS Friday.  And, our "summer hours" at work have started - out by 3 p.m. on Fridays.  I usually try to leave by then anyway, but now it's a definite.  I want to run to Trader Joe's to pick up fixings for home-made pizza for dinner tonight (and Fletch has listed out certain chocolate sweets he wants - ha!).  Other than that, I will try to coast through my day.  I have my usual conference call at 10, but I think it's going to be quiet here at the office.

No real plans for the weekend.  Thank God.  Two busy weekends in a row were more than enough for me.  I do want to run out to Target and/or Walmart to pick up chunky acrylic yarn to make a Twiddle Muff or two to send out to Kathy B and stuff to secure to the Muffs.  I'm looking forward to what should be a fast project.

I can't remember if I mentioned that I had a massage the night before we drove to Virginia.  It was one of the best massages I've ever had.  Betty calls her massages Thai Infusion.  For me, she started off with acupressure which was so great, then did some regular Swedish massage and then a lot of pulling on my limbs.  Oh my!  The drive to VA was one of the easiest I've ever experienced.  I have a lot of arthritis throughout my body and this was just what I needed.  Turns out she is running a special - 6 massages (2 a month for 3 months) for just over the price of 5.  I've signed up!  Can't wait.

Whatever you are up to this weekend, I hope it's a great one.  Enjoy!!

  1. So cute! I'm still thinking of your last post too. I have all 3 of the By Hand Serial mags. Haven't looked at number 3 yet. Number 2 is my favorite, of course, being about Maine. :D Have a great weekend!

  4. It's such a treat to have an "open" weekend -- especially after two "action-packed" weekends in a row! Enjoy!

  5. I've never had a massage, but the one you had sounds like something I could use. Deep tissue massage is basically all that's offered here, and I'm not a candidate for that. Tyg has the right idea. It's overcast here this morning, and I just wanted to crawl back in bed.

  6. He is such a handsome boy.

When I was still a journalist, I did a story on a woman who offered Thai Yoga massage - to help me understand, she gave me a session for free. It was the best thing ever. In fact, I was so relaxed, I promptly came home and fell down my basement stairs!
In all seriousness though - it really was great. I should look into it again for my back issues.

  7. That massage sounds wonderful!

Does your Target have yarn? I don't think ours does. But, I admit, it's been a long time since I've been in a Target.

  8. Tyg looks sooooo comfy!

I had a massage one time, as part of physical therapy. It was pretty rough, since things were not as "back in place" as they should have been after surgery, so I don't know if it really counts.

I'm looking forward to the weekend. Nothing in particular planned, but that's fine, since we were away last weekend. Have a good one!
