TGIF

What a wickedly long week this has been.  I am so glad that it is Friday and I plan to scoot out of work a little early today, just because….

I won’t go into details (no one wants to hear them anyway) but I am so sick and tired of dealing with/working with idiots and those who don’t do or will not do what they are supposed to do.  Fortunately my bosses are very understanding and feel the same way I do.  Wednesday as we were leaving the office, I told Bill (one of my bosses) that I was thinking of bringing in Bloody Mary’s for Thursday morning.  He heartily agreed.  I only wish I had….

So, now for something completely different and fun.  Here are today’s socks (picture taken at my desk this a.m.).  Believe this is the first pair I ever made -- about a year ago.  They are so comfy and I just love the colors in them.

The weekend promises to be full of laundry since we were away last weekend, but I am looking forward to tomorrow when our son’s girlfriend and I are going horseback riding.  It’s only been about 40 years since I’ve been on a horse – should be fun…or amusing…or embarrassing…Fletch and our son plan to go hiking while we are riding and then we’ll all go back to their place for dinner.
Happy Weekend to all of you - enjoy!

  1. Isn't laundry the absolute Worst? So much hauling and back-and-forthing. I detest it.

I've never ever been on a horse and have always wanted to. Enjoy your reacquaintance with horseback riding! I hope you don't get sore or stiff and that it's like Riding A Bike (in that you never forget how it's done).

  2. Oh! I am SO jealous. Horseback riding is just about my favorite thing to do!

Where are you going, in Valley Forge Park? Have fun and do a little cantering for me!

  3. You don't even want to get me started on so of MY co-workers ...

I really like your socks! I am always happier when I'm wearing a pair I knit. Granted, I make a lot of socks, but I give most of them as gifts, so a pair for myself is always an extra treat.

I love horseback riding! I'm not good at it, but I love it and I love horses anyway. Have a wonderful time, it sounds like it will be perfect weather for that.

  4. Have fun horesback riding! That is quite an adventure. I grew up around horses but am terrified of them. Just the way they look at you scares me to death. My mother loved riding and my uncle raised Tennessee Walkers-big, big horses. I don't think they could ever get me up on one but I loved watching them run-from a distance.
Sorry about work. I don't miss the co-worker drama one bit. I have to laugh when I go to lunch now with all my retired teacher friends because some of them were my mortal enemy when we were across the hall from each other.
